The FORTUNA poster “Future innovation for pesticide use reduction: Mapping research and solutions for sustainable weed control in European cropping systems” was presented at the 54th National Conference of the Italian Society of Agronomy, held in Turin from 17 to 19 September 2025.
The conference theme, “Agronomic strategies in response to the transformations of agricultural and cropping systems”, provided an excellent platform to discuss ongoing research and innovative approaches for more sustainable and resilient agriculture.
The poster was presented by Federico Leoni and Paolo Bàrberi, from the Institute of Plant Sciences of the the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Italy and Work Package leader in FORTUNA, contributing to the dialogue on how agronomic strategies can address present and future challenges.
We thank the Società Italiana di Agronomia for the organisation of such a stimulating event and GOA Group of Agroecology for the support and collaboration.
